☀️ Stoic Morning Minute: Amor Fati

Love your fate

My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it… but love it.

Friedrich Nietzsche

💭 Modern Translation

The train is delayed. Again. Everyone around you is grumbling and checking their phones. But what if - and stay with me here - this delay isn't ruining your morning, but instead IS your morning? What if everything that happens today, even the annoying parts, is exactly what you need?

⚡️ Your Move

Pick the next inconvenience that hits you today (traffic, rain, slow WiFi, whatever) and try this: Instead of fighting it, remind yourself "Amor Fati." Mean it. Watch how your shoulders relax, your jaw unclenches. The obstacle doesn't change, but you do.

(Bonus: At day's end, see if you can list three "annoying" things that actually led to something unexpected and good.)

Until tomorrow,

Jon
